The short version

Fellow Parent is a free tool built by a parent. I don't sell your data, I don't run ads, and I don't collect personal information. If you accept cookies, I use basic analytics to understand which features are helpful. That's it.

What data is collected

If you accept cookies

I use PostHog for anonymous analytics. This collects:

  • Which pages you visit
  • Which age bracket and issue you select
  • Whether you click "This helped" or "I need something else"
  • Basic device info (browser type, screen size, country)

This data is anonymous. I cannot identify you personally from it. It helps me understand which advice is useful and what to improve.

If you decline cookies

No analytics are loaded. No cookies are set. No data is collected beyond what's needed to serve the website (standard server logs from Cloudflare, which I do not access or analyse).

What is NOT collected

  • Your name, email, or any contact information
  • Your IP address (PostHog anonymises this)
  • Information about your children beyond the age bracket you select
  • Any health or medical data

Cookies

This site uses one cookie-consent preference stored in your browser's local storage (fp-cookie-consent). If you accept analytics, PostHog may set additional cookies for session tracking. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party services

  • PostHog (analytics) — hosted in the US. Their privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Pages (hosting) — serves the website. Their privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts (typography) — loads fonts from Google's servers. Their privacy policy.

Your rights

You can:

  • Decline cookies when prompted — no analytics will load
  • Clear your browser's local storage and cookies at any time to reset your consent choice
  • Use the site with an ad blocker or privacy extension — the site works fully without analytics

Children's privacy

This site does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The age brackets used in the tool refer to the age of the user's child — they are not linked to any identifiable person.

Changes to this policy

If I make meaningful changes to how data is collected, I'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.

If your child is hurt, unresponsive, or you're worried about their safety, call 000 (AU) / 911 (US) / 999 (SG & UK).

The information on this site is for general guidance only and is not medical, psychological, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified health professional for concerns about your child.
